****HOLLYWOOD'S MASTER STORYTELLERS****
OSCAR Nominate Co-Creator of “BACK TO THE FUTURE”
to be Showcased in March

(Hollywood, CA) Bob Gale, the Academy Award® nominated writer and producer (with Neil Canton) of the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy returns to ArcLight Hollywood on November 18 with his newest feature, INTERSTATE 60 as part of the Hollywood’s Master Storytellers series from Meyer Multimedia Productions. INTERSTATE 60 marks Gale’s directorial and features Michael Madsen (“Cyclops” in X-MEN) as Neal Oliver, a young man wishing for answers about his life. Award winning actor Gary Oldman (HANNIBAL) plays a magical fellow named O.W. Grant (the O.W. stands for “One Wish”) who sends Neal on a journey down a highway that isn’t on any map to a town that doesn’t exist. En route, he has a number of offbeat adventures on his way to the girl of his dreams and the answers he seeks.

Gale called on a number of old friends and familiar faces to round out the ensemble cast including Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd (BACK TO THE FUTURE), Kurt Russell (USED CARS), Amy Smart (FELICITY, Project Greenlight’s BATTLE OF SHAKER HEIGHTS), Chris Cooper (SEABISCUIT) and Ann-Margaret.

“This is a remarkable and delightfully twisted film, that is almost a modern-day ALICE IN WONDERLAND/TWILIGHT ZONE kind of comedy,” said Gordon Meyer, Hollywood’s Master Storytellers’ creator and producer. “INTERSTATE 60 received rave reviews at several prominent film festivals, but because the company that made the film got out of the feature business, the film never got the theatrical release it deserved, which I personally think was a great tragedy. We’re very excited to present the first West Coast commercial presentation of this amazing film.”

The March 18 engagement marks an encore appearance for Gale at ArcLight. In December, 2007 he was the featured guest in front of a sold-out audience at a presentation of BACK TO THE FUTURE at the “Meet the Writer” film series, which, like Hollywood’s Master Storytellers, was produced by Meyer Multimedia Productions. “We had a such a great time with Bob at our BTTF event last year, I’m really looking forward to having him back with us for INTERSTATE 60,” said veteran entertainment reporter Dennis Michael, the series host for both “Meet the Writer” and Hollywood’s Master Storytellers. Several members of the cast and crew, including Amy Jo Johnson and Amy Smart have been invited and are expected to attend the screening.

Meyer Multimedia Productions presents Hollywood’s Master Storytellers at ArcLight Hollywood twice a month. The ongoing series showcases a mix of recent and classic films along with live Q&A hosted by former CNN entertainment reporter Dennis Michael with one or more of the creative Storytellers who made the film. Past guests include actor/director Gary Sinise, producer Mace Neufeld, comic book legend Stan Lee, and Academy Award nominated directors Arthur Hiller, Roland Joffé and Mark Rydell. Upcoming HMS presentations include a holiday screening of THE WIZARD OF OZ on Tuesday, December 2 introduced by film preservationist Dick May, the 20th Anniversary celebration of A CHRISTMAS STORY with writer/director Bob Clark presented on December 5 in association with Warner Home Video and writer/director Kevin Smith with CHASING AMY on December 14.

All Hollywood’s Master Storytellers programs are at ArcLight Cinemas Hollywood (6360 Sunset Blvd.) and begin at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available to the public at the ArcLight box office and online at www.arclightcinemas.com

IFP announces a Special Screening of the
IFP/LA Film Festival Jury Award Winning Films!

****"CRUDE"****
Winner of the Target Filmmaker Award

Directed by Paxton Winters * Written by Paxton Winters, Kerimcan Guiertuz, Oliver Perrin * Produced by Mehmet Eryilmaz

Part meticulously shot travelogue, part political farce, Crude takes a satirical look at patriotism, globalism, and media sensationalism. Paul Schneider (All the Real Girls) and David Connolly portray two hapless, slightly dim backpackers making their way through Europe. After losing their money in Turkey, they hatch a scheme to find and interview a terrorist in hopes of selling the results. When this proves tougher than they figured, they just settle on faking their own kidnapping. Enter one hard-partying local, a pretty girl, and a whole lot of unexpected trouble. Schneider delivers a performance that is a marvel of rangy, free-spirited naturalism. Funny, flaky, and willfully offbeat, this is an assured film about a pair of schemers stumbling through life.

****BE GOOD, SMILE PRETTY****
Winner of the Target Documentary Award

Written and directed by Tracy Droz Tragos * Produced by Kat Tragos, Chris Tragos, and Tracy Droz Tragos

Be Good, Smile Pretty unfolds in first person as director Tracy Droz Tragos travels across America to learn more about the father she never knew: Lt. Donald Glenn Droz, who died in Vietnam. From her home in California to her father's hometown in Missouri to the offices of Senator John Kerry, who served with her father, Tragos leaves no lead unchecked. Her journey carries her back to a painful past that several of her subjects, including her mother and grandmother, had hoped they had buried away. Be Good, Smile Pretty is a highly personal, profoundly affecting film about the legacy of war and the search for a family's true history.

Each Film will be followed by a Q&A with the Director

The year is 1955 and the town of Northfork is literally about to be "dammed", flooded to make way for a new hydroelectric project. The town's rugged plains are going to drown, its Heartland houses will be swept away and its citizens are heading to higher ground. As the Evacuation Committee spreads out, they stumble across a few stoic resistors, such as a lustful, young couple, a man who has built an Ark (complete with a pair of wives) and a frail orphan whose fevered visions have led him to believe he's a lost member of roaming angels.

Blending surreality and history, "Northfork" is spun in the manner of an American fairy tale that tackles such themes as land, life, faith, death, the afterlife and the power of dreams.
