****INTERNATIONAL FAMILY FILM FESTIVAL****

The International Family Film Festival in Valencia, California offers a full week of FREE programs for children ages 8 to 17. The programs are sponsored by Target and the Walt Disney Studios. The workshops are designed to offer kids hands-on experience in a variety of aspects of the film and television industries. All of the workshops are presented by working professionals in the film industry in Los Angeles.

Kids, Kritters and Flicks is being presented in April at Hart Auditorium, Hart High School. This special program features a collection of famous cats, dogs, horses, chimps and reptiles from films who will tell their side of the Hollywood story with the help of their trainers, of course. One of the featured animal stars is Shadow, a miniature horse, who was featured recently on Animal Planet and has been seen in a variety of films and other television shows. This workshop is appropriate to all age groups and is open to everyone.

The Cartoon Voice Workshop is offered in April at Placerita Junior High School in Newhall. The one and only voice of Disney's GOOFY, Bill Farmer, will entertain and present a full range of voices created by a professional voice-over artist. Participants will also have a chance to practice creating the voice-over for a cartoon and have their voices recorded and dubbed over an actual animated clip. Each participant will leave with a videocassette of their voice-over work with the animation clip.

A highlight of the What IFFF? Kids program is the Television Production Workshop held at the Santa Clarita Valley Community Access Television Studio on 14th Street off of San Fernando Road in Newhall. The Kids learn the basics of television production using Channel 2 equipment and studio facilities to produce an actual television program Special that will air at a later date on Channel 20. This is a full working session where the kids make the magic happen.

The What IFFF? Kids programs begins April and runs through May. There is a full program all day Saturday and Sunday and additional programs offered everyday after school.
